Photovoltaic systems are a practical investment for companies that want to offset energy costs and promote sustainability through the use of a renewable energy source. In a PV system, sunlight hits silicon cells in the PV modules and generates a Direct Current (DC). This DC current is then converted to an Alternating Current (AC) by an inverter or several inverters. Not only does this replace your electric energy, the AC power can/will be sold to the electric utility company.
